Search engine optimization for website

Choosing a Good Domain Name

Every web site must have a domain name.

Teaching how to choose a domain name is a little tricky at this point because it requires the reader to understand how keywords work.
For now, just understand that when you choose your domain name, it is worthwhile to choose one that says something about your product line. Not from a marketing standpoint but from an optimization standpoint.

A domain name is in fact a sort of keyword. Take the automobile manufacturer Ford for example. Because their domain name is Ford.com, it is a plus for them when someone searches for the word Ford.

Some search engines factor in the domain name when returning results. If you already have a domain name for your company and it does not have a keyword in it, don’t worry. It’s not the end of the world. If you have not picked one yet, try to choose one with a keyword that is important to your business, if possible.
